The Manager IT Business Partner is responsible for building and strengthening strategic relationships within the various clinical service lines/corporate functions of Envision Healthcare. The key focus is to foster IT enabled business growth and operational efficiency. Strengthening partnerships between these organizations and core IT functions provides the foundation to achieve these goals. As a primary IT point of contact for the service lines/corporate functions, this role requires leadership communication, strategic consultation, facilitating solution design/alternatives, strong relationship management, and overall collaboration of the service delivery from IT to the service line/corporate functions. Part of the role is also to work closely with the various departments within IT to ensure the capabilities, standards, and processes of these teams are being fully utilized and leveraged. This person will later be responsible for hiring additional IT Business Partners to build a team supporting all AMSURG owned entities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains strategic partnerships with Operations leaders, center administrators, and IT leadership team.
  • Foster a culture of partnership, service, and continuous improvement. Accountable to the service line for IT services and project deliveries.
  • Participate in strategy sessions to provide feedback and drive IT service delivery in alignment with AMSURG’s business goals and objectives.
  • Contributes to the development of a multi-year technology roadmap for our centers to underpin business strategies. Contributes to the annual CapEx budgeting process and track the overall delivery of the IT services being rendered for assigned service lines.
  • Lead the creation of financial business cases for programs and projects in partnership with business leadership (benefits) and IT, Vendor Management, IT, Finance, etc. (costs).
  • Potential to manage a small team of IT Business Partners that would partner with other operations team members, by functional area or region, to eventually reach every facility under AMSURG ownership.
  • Be a point of escalation for service line leadership of IT issues in your area of responsibility to manage urgency and impact across the appropriate IT teams. Accountable to ensure appropriate level of service management occurs and remediation of the underlying issue that caused the escalation. Other duties as assigned
  • Leads IT Business reviews with service line leadership to communicate operational performance and strategic IT priorities.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to create and effectively deliver influential executive-level presentations
  • Demonstrable ability to formulate a high-level strategy and create strategic plans
  • Broad knowledge and strong understanding of IT and technology solutions
  • Demonstrated extensive technical awareness coupled with strong analysis and business process design skills
  • Someone that is a strategic, process oriented, end-to-end thinker that can assist the service lines in matching the business requirements with the appropriate technology solutions.
  • Experience using or applying metrics to measure performance against projects to ensure high quality delivery
  • Experience in assessing change management needs to enable effective solution adoption and value realization
  • Experience with simultaneously managing multiple business or organization relationships, preferably within the healthcare industry.
  • 3+ years of direct account management or sales experience.
  • People leadership experience preferred.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college/university or equivalent extensive specialized experience in related field and 5+ years of experience in a dedicated Information Technology Management environment
