Summary

This position leads the applications and projects team within the Information Services (IS) division. Initiatives include to develop and mentor application managers and provide overall direction for projects and budget with other IS managers that align with the company’s mission. This position manages project relationships with functional departments and aids in prioritization of activities required for IS involvement with external needs.

Essential Functions

• Responsible for overall direction, coordination, implementation, delivery, control and completion of all IS projects.
• Ensure project alignment with the company’s strategy, commitments, and goals.
• Responsible for development, approval, and control of the IS capital budget, with partnership across functional departments.
• Manage employees through work direction, motivation, training, assistance, performance evaluation and corrective action.
• Responsible for development, execution, and documentation of Information Technology (IT) general controls.
• Evaluate project performance and overall project effectiveness by developing metrics, and overall adherence to company policy and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in overall budget preparation with management team to identify yearly objectives, action plans and special projects affecting budgetary needs.
• Develop and set standards for integrated work plans, project estimates, resource plans, budgets, and status reports to effectively manage IS projects.
• Participate in contract negotiations for IS projects and initiatives and make recommendations for approval.
• Draft and deliver presentations to executive staff and Board of Directors, as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility & Working Conditions

This position has the supervisory responsibility for the Application Managers.

Work is performed in a standard office environment, with occasional weekend and evening work. Some travel to alternate sites may be required, including sites accessible by fixed wing aircraft. Occasional out of town travel.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field, required. Project Management Professional (PMP), required.

Experience

Eight (8) years’ experience in a similar technology environment to include three (3) years of supervisory responsibility, required. Five (5) years of project management experience in a related industry, required.
