Position Overview: The Senior Manager, People Partner position is responsible for liaising with managers, employees and HR colleagues to implement people initiatives across our Arena Operations team. This position serves as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues and will assess and anticipate HR-related needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Support all aspects of HR people operations, including employee relations, learning and development, talent acquisition, compensation and rewards, and employee experience.
  • Act as day-to-day support to all levels of employees and assist with projects and processes across a full range of HR functions.
  • Serve as the relationship owner and principal consultant for Arena Operations Leadership recommending, customizing and implementing effective Human Resources solutions to business issues and initiatives.
  • Provide HR support such as swift and effective solutions to first level employee questions on all HR topics and triage to functional HR subject matter experts as needed.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to employees in the interpretation of HR policies and procedures and assist in resolution of issues; interpret, coach, and enforce Company policies and procedures for consistency and compliance.
  • Effectively partner with other HR related functions and centers of excellence.
  • Identify solutions to recurring workplace issues or concerns by collecting/interpreting data as well as relying on personal observation as input into this process
  • Assist in interpreting major HR initiatives in collaboration with other HR functional areas (i.e., Salary Planning, Performance Management Processes, Employee Engagement).
  • Lead a diverse set of company-wide HR projects and initiatives as assigned.
  • Run the employee exit process, analyzing turnover to detect trends. Conduct exit interviews to assess and gain feedback.
  • Proactively share client business knowledge with other HR functions.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 5+ years of related HR experience, focused in the business partner, employee relations, or other HR functional areas.
  • Experience working with various employee types (e.g. Full-time, Union, Project, Contractors)
  • Strong Labor Relations Experience.
  • Ability to build and develop relationships, including ability to influence decision making and decision makers.
  • Proven consultant experience including providing prompt, professional and beneficial service.
  • Intuition for business and excellent Human Resources knowledge.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written and interpersonal skills including approachability and engaging.
  • Exceptional intuition, sensitivity, listening and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively when resolving issues and concerns.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively. Works effectively with limited supervision.
  • Solid understanding of employment and labor law.
  • Ability to anticipate the needs of the business and work proactively to provide HR solutions.
