JOB DESCRIPTION
Your Role

Reporting to the Senior Director of Communications, Meetings & Events, this role supports our Chief Executive Officer (CEO) communication platforms across all audiences. The Corporate Communications Senior Manager will partner with executive leadership and key stakeholders to design and implement strategic communication programs that create clarity, confidence and connection to our strategy, and promote our reputation and brand.

Your Work

In this role, you will:

  • Develop message platform to tell our story consistently
  • Develop executive blogs, presentations and talking points for the CEO
  • Drive creative discussions and develop creative briefs and concepts to execute across a variety of media (videos, webinar presentations, events/meetings)
  • Leverage employee feedback channels, monitor real-time feedback, analyze data, and make recommendations to continuously improve communications approach
  • Create internal and executive visibility programs, including speaking opportunities to build our reputation and brand
  • Tell our story across a variety of media, including videos, social media and events

Pay Range:

The pay range for this role is: $ 136400.00 to $ 204600.00 for California.

Note:

Please note that this range represents the pay range for this and many other positions at Blue Shield that fall into this pay grade. Blue Shield salaries are based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, location (California, Bay area, or outside California), and current employee salaries for similar roles.


  • QUALIFICATIONS
    Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Requires at least 10 years of experience in strategic communications, including a demonstrated track record of providing advice and counsel to management, developing and executing successful communications strategies and programs
  • Experience supporting executive communication for a C-suite leader, ideally a CEO
  • Extensive track record of designing, developing and successfully implementing comprehensive employee engagement and executive communication programs using multiple platforms and media
  • Strong understanding of internal communications and public relations strategies; ability to think strategically and build and implement plans that drive results
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills and senior client relationship management experience
  • Solid project management skills with ability to develop and execute multiple end-to-end programs concurrently and with little oversight
  • Executive presence, professionalism, and ability to influence and build partnerships at all levels
  • Outstanding verbal and presentation skills

Physical Requirements:

Office Environment - roles involving part to full time schedule in Office Environment. Due to the current public health emergency in California, Blue Shield employees are almost all working remotely. Based in our physical offices and work from home office/deskwork - Activity level: Sedentary, frequency most of work day.
