We’re growing and looking to add to our Accounting Tech team that provides bookkeeping services to our clients.

The ideal candidate will have experience in private industry or public accounting and able to handle multiple clients simultaneously. You are detail oriented, able to work with minimal supervision, deadline driven, and committed to striving for excellence. Our accounting software of choice is QuickBooks Online, however, familiarity with QuickBooks Desktop, Xero, or NetSuite is a plus, as is experience with Excel. Ability to learn new software is helpful. Any experience spearheading or leading a project would be advantageous. Experience with schedules, including WIP, lease, amortization, depreciation and loans is preferred.

Must be comfortable communicating directly with clients as well as collaborating with our internal departments. Most of our clients are located in the Northeast, so accommodating a predominantly Eastern Time Zone work schedule is required.

Responsibilities may include:

• Setting up chart of accounts
• Recording daily activity
• Accounts receivable
• Accounts payable
• Bank reconciliations
• Credit card reconciliations
• Month-end and year-end accounting close
• Processing sales tax returns
• Tracking payroll data
• Compiling reports

Qualifications:

• Associate Degree; Bachelor Degree preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
• Excellent knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting fundamentals
• Skilled in detection of errors
• Proficient in utilizing technology, such as Excel, QuickBooks, and other software platforms
• Big picture as well as detail mindset
• Strategic thinker
• Good analytical skills
• Professional Bookkeeping certification preferred
• QuickBooks Pro certification preferred
• Experience with bill.com a plus
