Position Overview:
We’re looking for a Senior backend software engineer to join our website development team to modernize our ecommerce platform and website. This is a remote role to work on high-level, complex projects with large-scale and high-impact systems.

Responsibilities for a Senior Software Developer will include:
Designing and writing clean, testable, and maintainable code
Delivering new features, fixing defects, and improving the existing codebase
Mentoring team members and modeling best coding practices
Optimize application for maximum speed, scalability and reliability
Ensure the technical feasibility of new feature requests.
Research new technology and ideas to enhance website and commerce functions.
Working closely with other Developers, Product Managers, Designers, Testers and Business Stakeholders to understand and gather requirements
Create technical architecture to leverage the best-in-class cloud services
Desire to deliver work in a fast-paced agile environment
What you’ll need to succeed:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience.
5+ years of work experience in software development
Proficient understanding of the following:
o Microservices architecture
o Modern programming languages like Golang, Python or NodeJS
o Modern databases and storage systems
o Containerized deployments using docker and Kubernetes
o Experience with cloud environments – AWS or GCP
o Code versioning tools, such as Git
Write unit, integration and end-to-end tests
Knowledge of GraphQL and REST APIs
Extensive knowledge of designing and developing scalable and reliable systems
Desire to deliver work in a fast-paced agile environment
