Provide support to the organization to ensure timely and accurate preparation of the financial statements. This includes oversight of the daily financial tasks including banking, fixed assets and general ledger functions. This position requires a working knowledge of the organization’s financial software and strong communication skills to work with all levels of employees at LSS.


Position Requirements:

  • Four years BA or BS degree in Accounting or Finance is required
  • One to three years accounting experience is required
  • Proficiency with Excel is required
  • Accounting, Accounts receivable, and other financial software experience required
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) required
  • Team player yet must have ability to work independently
  • Ability to give work direction and promote team work throughout the organization.
  • Must have strong communication skills (listening, speaking and writing) in order to work effectively with staff, outside auditors and programs
  • Analytical, investigative and organizational skills with a focus on demonstrated results

· Must be well organized and detail oriented to complete work correctly and in a timely manner· Payroll experience preferred

  • Interpersonal skills, including diplomacy, are essential
