Job Title: Sports Associate - Part-Time
Branch: West Chester Area YMCA
Location: West Chester, PA
Shifts/Availability: Saturday Mornings for around 4 hours
Starting Pay: $13.00

The YMCA of Greater Brandywine (YGBW), an association of eight YMCAs serving Chester County, is a non-profit organization committed to nurturing the potential of every child, promoting healthy living and fostering social responsibility through life-changing programs for all.

Position Purpose: The West Chester Area YMCA is looking for an enthusiastic Sports Associate to plan, organize and deliver value-driven sports programs to participants in accordance with YMCA goals and objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize and lead sports activities and games for all participants
• Lead with enthusiasm and positive motivation
• Organize and maintain program records including, but not limited to: attendance records, rosters, etc.
• Manage all equipment
• Maintain a clean and risk-free environment
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants and that all children are picked up by parent/guardian
• Communicate positively and accurately with all the parents/guardians of participants
• Promote other YMCA programs with participants and parents/guardians
• Be able to manage a class of up to 10 kids ages 3 - 7 and follow a curriculum

Qualifications:

• Prior knowledge and at least 1 year of experience in sports
