Small Town Speech & Language, Inc is a small speech and occupational therapy company with a passion to serve the community. Antioch is the physical location of our clinical setting but home based therapy is also necessary and we serve families in Contra Costa County including but not limited to Antioch, Brentwood, Oakley, Pittsburg, Concord, Martinez, Walnut Creek, Crockett, and more.
Our goal here is to have employees who are happy and enjoy working when they want to work, to support their lifestyle; whether that be weekends, weekdays, afternoons, mornings, split days, etc. We have therapy spaces available, desks to work from the clinic, gross and fine motor movement areas for both OT and speech, and the option to do any paperwork or non-direct client time at home.

We are seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (CCC or CF) to join our team and help children with speech, language, social skill, early readin, and articulation difficulties. Experience working with children with special needs is a plus, but candidates who are willing to learn will be considered. The ideal candidate will be compassionate about helping children and to demonstrate a willingness to work with parents and other professionals and be highly organized.
Responsibilities:
- Support the development of communication skills in children.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations on children to determine potential speech or language disorders and recommend therapeutic approaches.
- Conduct therapy sessions for speech and language disorders including fluency, articulation, voice and language development, and phonemic awareness skills.
- Develop behavioral strategies for treatment of speech, language, feeding and swallowing disorders.
- Assess and treat swallowing disorders including cleft palate and esophageal atresia.
- Collaborate with occupational therapists, infant development specialists, physical therapists, case managers, doctors, etc.
- Consult with medical professionals on the best course of treatment for patients with speech, language and hearing disorders.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $65.00 - $70.00 per hour
