JOB SUMMARY:

This role will focus on strategies and tactics appealing to brick & mortar shoppers at the bottom of the funnel, just as they are prepared to make a purchase. The Shopper Marketing Specialist III has increasing responsibility to build and foster collaborative partnerships for development and execution of an effective Marketing mix at store level which positively influences shopper behavior, loyalty and ultimately sales; always maintaining a laser focus on the customer experience and our brand integrity.

FUNDAMENTAL JOB TASKS:

• Partner with vendors, Merchandising, Retail, and IT to identify, execute, monitor, and optimize digital and print Marketing communication opportunities at store level.
• Optimize in-store display and signage programs to support sales growth through effective and appropriate Marketing messaging
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop and optimize signage and messaging for in- store merchandising vehicles
• Serve as a consultant alongside Brand Management and/or Construction/Real Estate on store decor selections
• Explore, develop, and execute engaging experiential in-store activations such as product demos, sampling, and culinary events.
• Seamlessly integrate sensory experiences that will keep shoppers coming back
• Partner with Content Marketing Strategist to coordinate proactive planning of in-store Marketing activities aligned to overall strategic objectives
• Work closely with Loyalty, Data and Merchandising teams to gain an understanding of brand, product, and shopper insights to maximize impact of Marketing programs.
• Work closely with Retail, Public Relations, and Vendor Partners on store level community engagement events, ensuring appropriate Marketing planning and support.
• Coordinate and direct in-store messaging for contests and sweepstakes

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

• 5 plus years of Shopper or Consumer Behavior Marketing experience in Grocery industry
• Experience as a strategic leader in key Marketing role
• Advanced degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, related field, or equivalent work experience
• Professional proficiency delivering strong, effective written and verbal communication (Bilingual Spanish strongly desired)
• Exceptionally high EQ able to communicate openly and respectfully, be resilient in the face of change, be flexible and consistently celebrate creativity
• Demonstrated proficiency functioning as a Project Manager
• Excels in the effective use of technological resources such as Monday.com, Dropbox, Adobe, Microsoft Office (Excel, Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint) etc.
