Job description

Moretown Elementary School seeks a half-time special educator. Strong foundational early literacy and math skills desired, as the person will be working with k-6 students. VT teaching license with special education endorsement preferred. Candidates should be looking to not only provide instructional services, but to join and work with a team, collaboratively supporting students in our school. Responsibilities include direct instruction, special education case management and participation as an active member of our whole school team.

Qualifications
1. Current VT teacher license with endorsement in Special Education
2. Demonstrated knowledge and application of Federal and State special education, 504 rules and regulations.
3. Demonstrated Knowledge and experience in facilitation of evaluation and IEP/504 planning teams.
4.. Demonstrated knowledge and ability to consult with teachers to gather and utilize data.
5. Demonstrated knowledge and experience with conducting and interpreting achievement testing for special education eligibility and program planning.
