Classroom/1:1 Aide West Harrison, NY

Salary will be commensurate with education.

Salary range: $22,800 to $27,655 annually from September to June (depending on education level)

The REACH Academy located in West Harrison, NY is seeking caring professionals to work with our students. The REACH Academy serves a population of high school-aged students with clinically complex needs many of whom are on the Autism spectrum. People in this position will either be assigned to a teacher to assist in the instruction of class grouping of 6-8 students OR will be assigned to a single student who requires academic and behavioral support.

Within the REACH Academy, we operate the Care Academy. This specialized program serves students on the Autism Spectrum with more intensive support needs than our traditional population. All of these students have intellectual disabilities and many also have emerging language skills. Providing ADL Support and Behavioral Intervention is often required. The Care Academy is a close-knit team of staff who work in a self-contained model. We are looking for caring individuals who envision themselves forming very close relationships with students over many years. The candidate must possess professional skills such as punctuality, good attendance, the ability to focus on their students and engage them in social and academic tasks.

The hours are Monday, Tuesday Wednesday & Friday 8:00 am to 2:45 pm and Thursday 8:00 am - 3:30 pm. You must be able to work the full week and times as per the contract.
