Qualifications: Valid Idaho Teacher Certification with proper Special Education Education endorsement OR Bachelors Degree with plan to obtain Special Education Certification through Alternate Route.Responsibilities: Work with special education staff in developing IEPs, plan, organize, and provide specially designed instruction based on IEP goals, collaborate with general education staff on supporting students in the general education classroom. Coordinate and facilitate IEP meetings and conduct academic assessments to determine eligibility for special education. Supervise paraprofessionals and coordinate schedules to ensure students are receiving appropriate services. Data collection on progress towards IEP goals.Position Purpose: Under the general supervision of building administrator and Special Education Director the teachers goal is to maximize the learning experience of students with special needs in academics, interpersonskills, and activities of daily living by providing support and developing services that reflect best practices in special education and serve as a resource and support for regular classroom teachers in how to provide classroom accommodations.2023-2024 School YearCOSSA is a consortium that provides special education services for the Wilder, Notus, Parma, Homedale, and Marsing School Districts.Position posted may be located in any of these districts.
