Le Cavalier (lecavalierde.com) located in the beautiful and iconic 5-star Hotel DuPont in Wilmington, DE is seeking an experienced full-time Sous Chef.

Influenced by the flavors of Provence, Le Cavalier (pronounced: luh-KAH-vuhl-YAY) is a neo-brasserie offering thoughtfully sourced French classics and inventive riffs on French staples paired with natural wines designed to complement our fare.

The ideal candidate has a genuine passion for hospitality and cooking. You show initiative and leadership while at the same time being a great team player and leading by example.

Position:

• Sous Chef

Compensation:

• $65-75K salary
• Paid bi-weekly

Schedule requirements:

• 55 hours per week
• 5 days per week

Language requirements:

• English

Experience required:

• 2+ years of Sous Chef experience in an upscale casual restaurant
• Strong food knowledge
• Food safety knowledge (certification preferred)
• Strong understanding of sanitation standards
• Ordering & receiving, inventory
• Staff training & motivation
• Payroll
• Scheduling
• Managing 15 - 20 employees
