The Software Quality Assurance Tester III is responsible for the planning and execution of the functional testing and UAT for the operations environment. This position will operate all maintenance protocols to ensure systems are secure and ready for users. This position will also administer windows servers by providing user account management, OU management, and update and patch maintenance, and backup management. This position will create, maintain and adjust software and technical requirement specification (SRS). This position will serve as the contact to engage in and resolve complex issues as it relates to installing, modifying, and repairing computer hardware and software while providing guidance to other department with respect to IT processes, risks and best practices of the Data Center environment.

Job Functions:

  • Ability to plan, facilitate and executive system and functional testing and UAT for projects and enhancements.
  • Ability to administer Windows servers by updating and creating user account management, OU management, update and patch maintenance.
  • Ability to troubleshoot wired and wireless local area networks (LAN) and wide area network (WAN)
  • Ability to follow maintenance protocols in accordance to all company protocols to ensure systems accuracy and security.
  • Ability to provide guidance to other groups regarding IT processes, risks and best practices as it pertains to the Operations environment.
  • Creation and maintenance of NASPL documentation associated with software development processes at the site.
  • Liaison between the lottery client and software development on assessing client's needs and requests and interpreting those into the technical documentation needed to initiate the software development process.
  • Liaison between the site and local operations management in assessing corporate wide requests and changes to the central system.
  • Responsible for working with development, the local support staff and the client for the entire life-cycle of a change to the central system, from entry of request, to ensuring QC, to packaging within a scheduled software release.
  • Ability to write, maintain, and execute software and technical requirement specifications
  • Ability to engage and work with outside resources to resolve critical issues
  • Ability to perform research to develop solutions to technology issues.
  • Operate all computer systems in accordance with established schedules and quality guidelines
  • Strong attention to detail is required to ensure all aspects of the operational environment are maintained
  • Must be able to prioritize tasks as assigned
  • Ability to maintain MIS technology standards
  • Ability to perform system fail-over in conjunction with all contractual requirements
  • Ability to create and maintain local data base programs using SQL server
  • Ability to test any software releases developed internally
  • Ability to maintain any and all facility security systems in accordance to local and Company protocol
  • Ability to provide customer support for incidents and problems occurring with the customer
  • Ability to work a non-standard shift
  • Ability to be on-call during system events during non-standard work hours is a requirement of this position
  • Ability to support and assist the Lottery and GNOC personnel during daily drawings
  • Design, prioritize and implement test plans for the environment
  • Ability to test scripts and procedures that will affect the data center environment.
  • Ability to manage critical customer related volume and tasks
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree in Computer Science or 3 years of technical system experience
  • 1-2 years of experience with relational database management.
  • Working knowledge of all Microsoft products
  • Ability to quickly learn and understand new technologies
  • Strong time management skills
  • Strong communication skills

Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management
  • Must have above-average organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collect and maintain documentation in accordance with Company protocol
  • Ability to work in a small environment
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, and stretch at a minimum of 50% of the time for any or all of the movements described.

Job Type: Full-time
