Job description

Software / Network Technician needed for a technology company in Lancaster, PA.

Job duties include:

· Assemble, configure, maintain and repair computer network equipment (servers, workstations, switches, radios, media converters, phones, intercoms, cameras, access control devices, printers, power supplies, monitors, etc.).

· Install and configure software and firmware on network equipment.

· Provide support and assistance to customers.

· Perform software and firmware upgrades on managed devices.

· Evaluate and test new hardware and software products.

· Test and apply new software and firmware updates and patches.

· Assist fellow technicians with configuration of network equipment.

· Visit (drive or fly to) customer sites to provide installation, support and/or training services.

The skills and experience required for this position include:

· Prior experience configuring servers and workstations.

· Experience with Active Directory & firewalls.

· Prior experience configuring IP video systems a plus.

· Interest in computers and related technical subjects.

· Good verbal and written communication skills.

· Attention to accuracy (when executing jobs and also when recording notes).

· Attention to detail (when executing jobs and also when recording notes).

· Willingness and ability to manage multiple incoming and ongoing tasks.

This is a full-time position that can be paid as hourly or salary.
