Description

We are looking for a dynamic, talented Software Engineering Director- Salesforce Platform to join our team specializing in systems/information technology for our Corporate Business Unit headquartered in Columbus, IN. The role is designated offsite and allows you to work from your home office; the role requires travel of approx. 25% travel.

In this role, the Software Engineering Director will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Manages a team of Software Engineer Managers and Software Engineers.
  • Direct and oversees the Software Engineering Function in developing, releasing, and maintaining software applications/operating systems according to business needs. Establishes policies and procedures that produce high-quality software products, services. Ensures organizational strategies and specific objectives are met and adhering to approved budgets.
  • Leads Strategic Technical Product Roadmaps and Software Engineering Specifications in collaboration with Software Engineering Managers, internal business partners and external customers.
  • Expert on and drives creating a Software Engineering team mindset, vision and result oriented culture obsessed with the creation of business value through use of modern development practices.
  • Manages people including work plan development, performance management, and individual development.
  • Innovative team building and development including organization structure, recruiting, global team management and providing input to development of Software Engineering Strategies.
  • Directs team adherence to all IT processes, policies, and procedures including IT Security.
  • Drives IT Controls compliance for the team.
  • Communicates status to Senior Management – Software Engineering and business.
  • Engages with customers in their respective function or business area.
  • Directs team financial management including AOP (Annual Operating Plan), budget management, and forecasting.
  • Strategic governance/leadership for all programs/products executed or supported by their teams.

Regulatory Risk Compliance Management - Evaluates the design and effectiveness of controls against established industry frameworks and regulations to assess adherence with legal/regulatory requirements.

Tech savvy - Anticipating and adopting innovations in business-building digital and technology applications.

Education

  • College, university, or equivalent degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Business, or relevant equivalent experience required.
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience

  • Recognized leader in the Software Engineering Industry with proven record.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce SaaS platforms such as Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud and Force.com
  • Possess Salesforce System Administrator or Developer certification, Certified Application or System Architect highly preferred.
  • Strong background with Salesforce Lightning Platform, Process Builder, Workflows, App Builder; -Overall Salesforce development including Lightning Components, Visualforce, APEX, SOQL, and SOSL.
  • Experienced in leading discovery workshops, which includes the facilitation of large audiences, solution presentations, and prototype demonstrations.
  • Experience in DevSecOps with knowledge of tools such as Copado/Flosum/Jenkins, TOSCA/SonarQube/QTest and JIRA is an advantage.
  • Significant level of relevant work experience, including managerial and budgetary experience, required. Broad business knowledge required.
  • Prioritize well, communicate clearly, have a consistent record of delivery, and have excellent Software Engineering Skills
  • Strong analytic capability and the ability to create innovative solutions.
  • Candidates must have experience designing, coding, and implementing on the Salesforce platform for large enterprises.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience, range: $179,000-$199,000. Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s qualifications and experience, where appropriate. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage, and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.
