Job description
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
To provide clinical, supportive and advocacy services to residents, ages 12-17, and their families using a variety of modalities including problem solving and coping skills to address social/emotional behaviors and interactions in the home, community, school and at the residence. Trauma informed practices implemented through the various treatment modalities in order to re-establish and strengthen family functioning so that children can return home.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct/participate in parent groups monthly
- Scheduling and coordinating weekly force fields
- Arrange sibling and family visits and contacts
- Assist with transportation needs of residents to Dr appts., school, recreational activities and other
- Provide clinical interventions to work with child and family around issues that led to child’s placement.
- Overall case planning as well as the orchestration of all goals within the therapeutic milieu.
- Provide crisis de-escalation with children and meet with them individually and in groups to work on specific treatment goals.
- Maintain contact with service providers, including day treatment, hospitals, schools and outpatient clinics.
- Facilitate and schedule Service Plan reviews (initial, quarterly) with multi-disciplinary team of staff and service providers
- Maintain case records and required documentation
- To obtain EBT/MAP & CANS Certification
II. QUALIFICATIONS
- MSW/LMSW and experience working with children with behavioral and mental health challenges (SED).
- Familiarity with psychotropic medications and their side effects seriously emotional disturbed children.
- Experience working with families a plus.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
