The Department of Emergency Medicine is committed to advancing clinical care, education and research to help patients with diverse emergency conditions. We offer patient-centered care, apply cutting edge skills to combat serious illness and injury. In addition, our physicians conduct innovative research aimed at preventing injury and disease.
The Social Media Manager will be responsible for various duties with the Department of Emergency Medicine including, but not limited to, serving as liaison between social media users, influencer, Virtual Ambassadors (VA), California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) and the Principal Investigators (PI). This position will also assist with the planning, execution and evaluation of campaigns on social media, as well as supporting VAs with educational material. The position will work closely with the PI in designing campaigns on social media and interacting with different social media users.

Required:
Extensive experience with twitter and Facebook
Promote program, manage social media Accurate typing skills, data entry skills, file organizational skills, filing skills, appropriate telephone skills and pleasant telephone etiquette, ability to carefully and accurately proofread own and other’s materials Skill to communicate and interact effectively and pleasantly with colleagues, faculty, students, and community leaders, from multiple cultures Generate, design content for twitter and Facebook Ability to appropriately set priorities and work independently Ability to work in a dynamic environment of rapidly changing priorities and frequent interruptions Knowledge and experience with SQL database, Macromedia Dreamweaver, Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator Knowledge and skills to efficiently operate in a PC and MAC environment Coordinate media requests Ability to analyze and take action on complex matters, documents, and tasks. Ability to take the initiative and independently respond to requests in writing, in person, or over telephone Skill to determine priorities based on general instructions and accumulated knowledge
Preferred:
Ability to creatively solve technology problems Experience in understanding and writing visual basic scripts
Special Conditions Required:
Fluent: English Irregular work schedule: must be available nights and weekends - as needed.
