American Asphalt Paving Co., a local road and site construction company located in Shavertown, PA, is seeking SKILLED ROAD CONSTRUCTION LABORERS for the 2023 construction season to assist our asphalt paving crews.
- Seeking experienced candidates with 1-3 years asphalt/road construction industry experience, but willing to train the right person. Also seeking rakers/lute men.
- Prefer candidates who have a CDL Class-A Driver's License (with manual transmission experience) who can transport equipment to/from job sites, or a CDL Class-B Driver's License who can operate a water truck or a fuel truck. Tanker and/or HazMat endorsements a plus.
- PennDOT and Municipal experience a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Performs all work according to OSHA and American Asphalt Safety Policies.
- Employees must be willing and available to work overtime, including weekends when necessary.
- Applicants must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening test, and be willing to submit to, and pass, random drug/alcohol testing.
- Pay commensurate with experience.
Additional skills preferred, but not required:
- Seeking self-starters who have experience in, or the willingness to learn how to operate heavy equipment.
