Shipping and Receiving Supervisor
West Caldwell, NJ

CCG is seeking a proven leader with relevant experience and skills in warehouse shipping and receiving. Our ideal candidate is a responsive partner to all internal departments and external contacts, maintain relationships with shipping services (UPS, FedEx, DHL, LTL, etc.) and be CCG’s subject matter expert on international shipping process and shipping regulations that are applicable to the material that CCG distributes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee loading/unloading of trucks and carrier inspections.
• Ensure all orders/shipments scheduled or ready for shipment are completed and manifested each day prior to departure.
• Coordination of ASN’s with client service personnel
• Understand and adhere to receiving SLA’s specific to each client.
• Set up client specific workflows when necessary

• Manage applicable vendor contacts.
• Obtain quotes for shipments (LTL, full trailer, UPS, FedEx, etc.) as needed

• Ensure proper steps have been taken in setting up any new shipping accounts
• Become certified in ORMD, hazmat shipping
• Understand international shipping process and required documentation
• Maintain appropriate records for equipment accountability and maintenance
• Creation/Maintain Dock and Forklift maintenance logs.

• Participate in hiring/training/development/termination of staff.
• Propose department KPI’s to track and suggestions on how to measure
• Hold team accountable to established performance standards.
• Maintain department PTO schedules to ensure we have appropriate coverage.
• Escalation point for team and internal department (resolve any problems/complaints as well as special shipping orders or requests)
• Ensure compliance of staff with cGMP, OSHA, HIPAA as well as CCG corporate and client specific guidance documents
• Other duties may be assigned.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma
• Forklift experience a plus
• Must be Bilingual (English/Spanish)
• Tech savvy - proficient in WMS technology & use of RF scanners
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills
• Strong leadership skills and ability to manage staff.

Physical Demands and Abilities:

• Regular standing
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for long periods of time.
