Shipping & Receiving Supervisor - Lebanon, PA

Currently, we are seeking an experienced Shipping and Receiving Supervisor for our Hardwood Lumber Mill.

The Shipping & Receiving Supervisor will assist in scheduling and overseeing daily assignments of warehouse associates. You will implement production, productivity, and quality control standards in achieving appropriate levels of volume within time limits. Ultimately, you should be able to ensure that daily operations meet and or exceed performance expectations including compliance with established company policies and procedures

Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:

Responsible for receiving and delivery of products in a prompt manner.

Measure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities.

Organize and maintain inventory and storage area.

Utilize docks, warehouse layout, and route truck loading patterns that minimize loading time.

Communicate and ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained

Ensure accuracy of shipments and inventory transactions

Determine staffing levels and assign employee workload.

Collaborate with department managers to answer inventory questions or solve problems.

Identify areas of improvement and establish ways to improve existing work procedures

Maintain accurate records and assist with scheduling

Enforce safety practices and requirements to ensure a safe and hazard-free workplace.

Assume all other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

1-3 years supervisory/management experience in a materials and logistics environment.

Intimate knowledge of Shipping/Receiving, Warehouse, Inventory and Material Handling operations, methods, and practices.

Leadership: previously demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.

Strong computer skills related to the use of Microsoft Office products, Warehouse and Inventory Management systems and Productivity Tracking Software.

Strong communication skills (written, oral) along with a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.

Ability to operate and train associates on all equipment associated within a warehousing environment (forklift, deep reach, walkie, RF scanner).

Education and Experience:

High School or equivalent (Preferred)

2+ years of supervisory experience

Excellent communication, Bilingual – English and Spanish (Preferred), conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.

Proactive versus reactive approach with personal accountability and strong sense of urgency to lead a team in an ever-changing environment.

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
