KORE Resource, Inc. is currently looking for a material specialist in shipping and receiving. The Material Specialist combines responsibilities in shipping of products, receiving of raw materials, product manufacturing, and customer service. The main objective is to package and ship products via FedEX and UPS; produce and package quality material in an efficient manner. Looking for candidates that have some previous experience in shipping & receiving. Position is located near the Blawnox area. This is a daylight position, M-F, hours are 7:30am till 4:00pm with a starting salary of $17 to $19 an hour.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Prepare small parcels and letters for shipping via FedEX and UPS.
- Follow rules and regulations for shipping international packages and/or hazardous materials.
- Receive raw materials from trucks, package supplies, paper products, etc.
- Complete receiving forms and purchase-order information into the system.
- Repack material from 50lb. bags into quart and gallon cans.
- Label and stage finished products for shipment.
- Maintain workplace cleanliness.
- Dispose of waste properly.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Strong reading and math comprehension.
- Good communication and computer skills.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Working unsupervised.
- Ability to lift 50+ lb. objects, working with raw materials, standing or moving for long periods of time.
- Other unspecified duties as assigned.
Job Types: Full-time, Temp-to-hire
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
