McCain Food’s facility in Appleton Wisconsin is a large-scale food processing plant, employing approximately 500 employees. This site specializes in the production of jalapeño poppers and other appetizers. Fun Fact: the jalapeño popper was trademarked at this site!

Position Summary:

The Shift Sanitor is an entry-level to mid-level role with McCain Foods! The candidate in this role will be responsible for sanitizing assigned equipment according to FDA and USDA regulations, quality specifications and company policies.

• Shift for this position is 6:00AM to 6:15PM on a 2-2-3 schedule with every other weekend off.
• Hourly rate is $25.39 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Inspect and ensure proper use of sanitation tools and equipment
2. Apply industrial foam cleaners and sanitizers safely
3. Coordinate cleaning schedule with production team
4. Document and maintain supply inventories and cleans
6. Maintain and complete all daily sanitation reports
7. Follow established GMP's and policies
8. Communicate mechanical problems to maintenance

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 months experience working in a sanitation role.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions both written and oral as well as read and interpret schedules related to production/ product schedules and line changeovers.
• Candidate Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds!

Physical Demand:

Constant: use and movement of hands and standing on regularly scheduled shift. Must wear Personal Protective Equipment.

Frequently: Bending, grasping of hands, and reaching for up to 3 -6 hours daily.

Occasionally: Walking, bending at the waist, squatting, kneeling, and twisting at the neck and waist, pushing and pulling for up to 3 hours a day.

Pay: $25.64 per hour
