What is Shared Living?
Shared Living allows individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live in a long term, in-home placement with caregivers in the community.
The program integrates the individual into the activities of the caregiver's household, and provides opportunities for learning, developing, and maintaining skills in areas such as social and recreational activities, as well as personal enrichment.
Thinking about being a Caregiver?
Caregivers must have a bedroom to provide with proper furnishings. The must pass a CORI and home inspection prior to approval. They will complete CPR, first aid, and additional agency training.
How are Caregivers compensated?
Caregivers are compensated with monthly room and board, as well as a daily tax-free payment. They will be provided with required training and emergency on-call resources.
