Our client is looking to hire a Service & Applications Engineer for thier manufacturing company. Jupiter Machine Tool is expanding our business base to include manufacturing “World Class CNC Machines” in the United States, and they are looking for “World Class Talent” to join them.


Their people are experienced in Field Service, 3-5 Axis machines, Applications, Robotics, Electronic, Mechanical, engineers who have supported Americas most advanced companies in the Automotive, Medical, Defense, Agricultural, Food Service, Oil, Gas, and Electronics industries for over 30 years. You have three areas you can choose from, Galesburg Illinois, Oklahoma/Dallas, or Huntsville, AL. For the first time a Field Service engineer can mix travel with fixed base manufacturing operations while sharping your skills in CAD/CAM applications, manufacturing, aligning, calibrating, and running final “Check Out” tests, on new advanced technology CNC Machines.

Their requirements are:

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience servicing CNC Machines – be able to install VMC 3-5 axis Mills, Horizontal Lathes, Vertical Lathes, Mill/Turn Lathes, and Horizontals. Level machines, install Z axis spindle drives, check for proper operation of ATC. Have experience in trouble shooting coolant systems, pneumatic & hydraulic systems, and spindle chilling systems. Troubleshoot relays, relay logic, set machine parameters, have advanced experience in motion positioning systems. Run basic functions of machines using Fanuc controls. Be able to install and demonstrate the proper use of tool holders in the ATC, demonstrate proper procedure of setting tool length, work offset, and how-to pick-up part datums, install programs, and work holding.
  • Knowledgeable using electronic test equipment - Volt Ohm Meters, Ampere meters, Meggers, Tensiometers,
  • Must be able to read electrical schematics
  • Have experience in the use of Renishaw Ballbar test, Digital Levels
  • A plus – have experience in running a Renishaw Laser analysis and can adjust “Pitch Error Compensation”.
  • MUST BE EXCITED ABOUT LEARNING NEW ADVNACED TECHNOLOGIES.

Education:

Must have a High School diploma.

Advanced Education- Have a minimum of associate degree in Manufacturing technology, Automation, Robotics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or have sufficient industry experience to demonstrate knowledge at this level.

Miliary maintenance school education and experience are acceptable, depending upon career field. If your military career field included maintenance of Electronics systems i.e., Radar, Communications, Aircraft Technology, Fire Control Systems, Electronic-Mechanical systems, etc., can be considered.
