Dale Howard Auto Center is looking to hire a Full-time Service Advisor. Our applicants should be dedicated to providing top quality customer service, be an energetic individual, possess a positive attitude, have an eagerness to learn, be self-motivating and goal oriented, have experience with computers. Additionally, we ask that you show strong organizational skills and work well as a team player.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Meet with customers and determine their needs for repair and/or service of their vehicle issues

• Increase customer satisfaction by building customer relations.

• Maintain the company’s standards for ethical business practices, professional image, orderliness, customer service and good employee and community relations.

• Obtains customer and vehicle information

• Clearly reports all vehicle symptoms as described by the customer

• Prepares complete and accurate estimate of cost for labor and parts

• Establishes follow-up time

• Monitor the progress of each vehicle throughout the day, and updating customers frequently

• Responsible for overseeing the technician working on customers’ vehicle including their time management/efficiency, parts ordering, job completion times.

• Oversee and participate in quality control.

• Participate in the development and documentation of Standard Operating Procedures as appropriate.

• Verifies that final invoice reconciles with work performed on the repair order

• Explains all completed work and charges to customers

• Serve as the communicator and liaison between the customer and technician; ensuring the customer’s needs are understood by the technician and the needed and recommended service/repairs are understood by the customer.

• Verify warranty and service contract coverage by examining records and papers; explaining provisions and exclusions.

• Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor; calculating customer's payment, including deductibles.

• Prepare repair orders (RO) by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and services required; obtaining approval signatures; entering RO into the service database system.

• Communicate additional repair and service needs to the customer based on vehicle inspection.

• Administer the manufacturer warranty for qualifying vehicle repairs.

• Present a friendly, professional greeting to customers and helps identify, confirm and offer resolution to customer concerns.

• Consult with customers on applicable service specials and keep customers informed on completion times and service expenses.

Job/Education Requirements:

• Prefer experience as advisor in past but not required

• Knowledge of automobiles

• Positive attitude

• High volume mentality

• Customer Service Driven

• High school diploma.

• Valid Driver's License and a good driving record

• The ability to drive all makes and models, as well as both manual and automatic transmission is a plus

• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.

• Excellent oral communication skills.

• Have the ability to be comfortable sitting, standing, walking and driving a vehicle for periods of time

• Pre-employment drug screen required.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
