Job description

We are looking for enthusiastic, energetic Servers who can provide a great experience to guests. Servers will be expected to handle high volume drinks and food turn over. Servers will also be expected to be knowledgeable on the restaurant's menu, specials, and drinks. As a server, you will also have to learn our special POS system technology that includes live time order placing through your cell phone (through our Ocean One app). If you’d like to gain experience in the restaurant industry and learn how to provide an excellent dining experience, we’d like to meet you. To be considered for this role, you should be available to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in the setup and break down of the restaurant.

• Assist the host with seating; sell your section!!

• When taking reservations, if the party is bigger than 8, take down their phone number, number of people, date of party and relay the message to management.

• Greet guests within 2 minutes of them being seated: inform tables about drink and food specials.

• Every shift is promoting the following shift!

• Answer phones when available; assist with any reservations to help flow of the restaurant. All to-go orders go to bartenders.

• Take accurate food and drink orders and deliver to appropriate tables in a timely fashion.

• Assist with running side-work: run glasses, fill ice bins, stock server stations, run food, bring full bus bins from server station to dish pit, cut fruit and rack/ roll silverware.

• 100 roll ups per shift.

• Attitude must be Happy-Go-Lucky!

• Remain calm.

• Always use respectful language and attitude with customers.

• Always double check orders before sending them. You will have to pay for them after your 2 week grace period.

• Everyone must know what entertainers we have on specific nights and must inform customers about it.

• Condiments must be maintained accordingly.

• Greet customers with water while they’re waiting for alcoholic drinks (make sure you get the sale of beverages). Remember we have a WATER FOUNTAIN HERE!
