We are developing an internal design agency within the Public (unsecured) digital channels team focused on optimizing the digital front doors into our digital journeys. The public digital team over the next year will be focused on our design library to visually elevate our web presence, while establishing flexible templates and experiences that scale across multiple users and lines of business. Senior Visual Designers are part of multi-disciplinary teams, including Experience Researchers and Content Designers, and Design System collaborators committed to creating a more consistent digital ecosystem.

Job Summary

Senior Visual Designers will focus on ideating, designing, and producing visually compelling product, service, and campaign pages. They partner with Product Managers and Engineers, involved in prioritization, planning, and decisions along the way to execution.

We are not expecting you to be brilliant at everything, but we do presume some comfort throughout the design process, and a desire to continually broaden and improve your skills.

Job Responsibilities
  • Create visually stunning design concepts, design comps, clickable prototypes, and content assets for product and service marketing campaigns and digital experiences.
  • Understand the target users and look for unique opportunities to showcase product or brand features and value
  • Detailed module and page template designs, built upon our Design System, that bring our solutions to life
  • Work collaboratively with content strategy and copywriters to incorporate product/brand messaging into our marketing assets
  • Keen sense of image curation, visual storytelling, typography, and composition
  • Advocate for the users' perspective when collaborating with Product Managers and Engineers to plan roadmaps, gather requirements, and structure the work
  • Present work, connecting design decisions to desired business impact

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant design discipline (e.g., Visual Design, Communications Design, Brand/Identity, and or UX design), certification from credible bootcamp or similar accelerated learning program, or equivalent work experience
  • Comfortable in a test and learn environment: interpreting results of campaigns and web experiments, developing hypotheses for how they could be better, coming up with big ideas that test those hypotheses, and building off test results to best connect with our users
  • Prior work involves collaboration within design teams (with other designers, UX researchers, and content designers) and cross-functionally with product managers and software engineers
  • Advanced skills in Visual Design as well as either Brand/Identity, with an extreme focus on design craft and detail
  • Able to show how your understanding of customer needs, technical constraints and business opportunities informed your design solutions
  • Comfortable and confident when presenting work to cross-functional Directors

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
  • Hands on graphic design experience at an advertising agency, digital agency, studio or in-house team
  • Experience in consumer marketing, including copywriting, content creation, and campaign management
  • Advocate for Accessibility Guidelines and Inclusive Design practices
  • Familiar with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, frameworks such as React, and mobile UI standards
