Summary / Primary Role:
In this position as the Senior UX Designer, we are looking for a creative mind that can assimilate information quickly to create engaging experiences that delight our Odyssey customers. In this role you will be provided an opportunity to use your experience to understand customer needs and make those needs a reality through the utilization of common UX design techniques. Additionally, this role will provide you the opportunity to be on the ground floor of developing a design function within the technology enterprise. In this regard, you will be part of the process of establishing standards, and process around the discipline of user experience design.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
(Management may amend or assign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time)
  • Partner directly with other designers, customers, product managers and developers to define the interaction architecture and behavior of each platform to ensure that the user interface and customer journey is compelling for the end consumer
  • Define and maintain interface standards in the form of UX Templates and Style Guides
  • Define and maintain all User Personas, Design Mockups and Wireframes, User Flows, Site Maps, and other experience documentation for assigned efforts
  • Develop experience audits from other industries that can influence our own products
  • Developing & maintaining a deep understanding of our target audiences, their behaviors, needs, passions and expectations
  • Championing the customer needs by making realizable, innovative, and cross-device recommendations for improving the experience
  • Understand and utilize system and industry analytics to evaluate current and future interface engagement performance
  • Providing UX thought-leadership, coaching, mentorship, and guidance within the team and across the rest of technology
  • Developing, maintaining internal UX processes to adapt to evolving user and business needs
Qualifications and Key Skills:
(The following are representative of the education, experience, knowledge, skills or ability required for this position)
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in software UI design building a portfolio demonstrating visual/interaction design skills
  • 5+ years of experience shipping high-quality consumer or enterprise products
  • 5+ years of experience executing usability research using a variety of research methods and techniques
  • 5+ years of experience with web application and mobile application UX design standards and best practices
  • 3+ years of experience leading all facets of the UX process from concept generation to quality assurance
  • 5+ years of experience performing qualitative (interviews, surveys) and quantitative (A/B, heatmaps) user research to validate vision, flow and process
  • Champion user-centered design to the wider team
  • Experience in rapid modeling/prototyping (InVision, Keynote, code)
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, in English
  • Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to work harmoniously with a diverse cross-functional team.
Work Environment:
Normal office environment with some remote work.

Physical Demands:
Must operate normal office equipment such as a phone, computer, and copy machine. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
