Description:

The Senior Trainer & Developer is the voice of learning at Vaco. From program and content development to training and coaching all our fellow Vaconians. The Senior Trainer & Developer will report to Vaco's VP of Sales & Training.

Duties and Responsibilities:

This is not an exhaustive list of all required responsibilities, duties, and skills. Other duties may be added, or this description amended at any time.

  • Develop performance training/coaching cadence in assigned programs, regions, or roles.
  • Work with leaders to understand the largest skill gaps and biggest opportunities for improvement.
  • Deliver outstanding training and workshops focused on building strong team members and drive results.
  • Engage with the field to understand market trends, economic challenges or opportunities, and areas for enhancement.
  • Provide continuous feedback, reporting and ongoing communication of progress to leadership.
  • Help design, build, and format documents to deliver best-in-class/cutting-edge training.
  • Develop and deliver content for assigned programs that can include onboarding, leveling up, Kickoffs, Regional sessions and other events to improve individual and team results.
  • Facilitate one to one and group coaching and role-play either virtually or in person to drive continual learning and up-skilling of techniques and accurate use of tools.
  • Ensure consistent application of methodology and find opportunities for enhancements in existing training content to drive adoption.
  • Responsible for event post-mortem forensics and regular debrief process on workshop results and continuous enhancement.
  • Work cross-functionally across the organization including Management, Operations, and HR to institutionalize a coaching methodology, develop accountability in the field and clear opportunities to improve results of individuals.
  • Provides recommendations on enablement success measurement, closed-loop reporting, and ensure effective delivery of such.
  • Delivers ongoing reinforcement and reporting on program results.

Technical Skills:

  • Must have working knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • Experience with SharePoint, LMS platforms and/or eLearning authoring tools a plus

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to connect with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of both sales and recruiting.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
  • A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast paced constantly evolving business and work environment while handling multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Educational Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in the staffing industry
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Marketing degree a plus

Schedule Requirements:

  • Ability to work nights/weekends as needed
  • Approximately 20-50% of work time traveling (based on location).

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 25 pounds unaided
