Essential Responsibilities:

ALCIVIA is looking for a Senior Staff Accountant to provide management with financial information by researching and analyzing accounts, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with all federal, state and local regulations. The Senior Staff Accountant supports our members in a manner that meets or exceeds customer expectations, maximizes departmental effectiveness and achieves the strategic goals of ALCIVIA.

• Responsible for daily and monthly activities with oversight from the Controller. This includes:
  • Coordinate close within the Business Unit to ensure that deadlines are met (AR, AP, inventory, journal entries, etc.)
  • Complete reconciliations for any assigned BS accounts
  • Reconcile positions to inventory accounts
• Ensures compliance to ALCIVIAs SOPs
• Prepares any Business Unit-specific governmental or regulatory reports and ensure that there is documentation in place for completing the process
• Assists the Business Unit with any ad hoc reporting, as assigned
• Assists in the annual audit through the completion of external auditor requests

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in accounting or related field required
• Minimum 2-4 years of operations accounting experience required, including general accounting experience preferred
• Knowledge of general accounting principles and concepts
