POSITION OVERVIEW
Engineering USA is a dynamic and growing organization, and we are seeking a self-driven Simulation Analyst to complement our growing Simulation and Data Science divison.

We are seeking an entrepreneurial, dedicated, and motivated individual that is interested in joining a fast-paced Simulation Team involved in the successful technical delivery of small and medium sized simulation projects to our customers. The ideal candidate will be involved in all aspects of Discrete Event Simulation from implementation, technical delivery, functional specifications, and supporting site acceptance activities. This candidate will also be responsible for elements of sales support as it relates to technical proposals and demonstrations, marketing strategies, and customer meetings.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Development of discrete-event simulation models and overall supervision of system modifications
  • Driving the elicitation and building of business, functional and technical requirements
  • Driving the design specification phase and building the design specification document
  • Work in conjunction with Project Management to create project schedule, identify tasks and assignment to resources
  • Unique point of contact from the technical team to report on tasks advancement
  • Capable of delegating work assignments, technical leads may also collaborate with colleagues to identify and repair technical issues
  • Lead resolution of technical issues, including software development, product releases, and engineering tasks
  • Evaluate their team's work processes and best practices and implement changes to streamline operations
  • Owns the validation process, including building the validation tests
  • Lead end-user training and Simulation solution acceptance
  • Create service goals for team; ensuring current applications are updated and align with the implementation of new applications and analyzing end users' needs
  • Assist in creating and implementing risk mitigation processes and conduct security/performance audits to determine weaknesses in applications
  • Create an inclusive and supportive environment for all personnel within the project team and actively support team members

KNOWLEDGE/ SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent knowledge of Simulation tools (E.G. Siemens Tecnomatix, Anylogic, SIMIO, Flexsim, ARENA etc.)
  • Experience in discrete-event or agent-based simulation architecture
  • Experience with programming (C#, Java, C++, VBA/VBScript, Python)
  • Knowledge of software release management on multiple environments (e.g., DEV, QA, PROD) including but not limited to handling of pool requests, merge operations, solution building, deployment, unit testing, regression testing
  • Strong partnership skills to collaborate and motivate team members, internal and external partners
  • Excellent consulting and communication skills
  • Must display a high degree of adaptability in order to learn new methodologies and tools as needed and successfully manage the daily challenges of a technical environment
  • Able to comfortably drive functional discussions in front of our customers. Establish trust and inspire innovation and creativity working alongside team members and customers
  • Able to identify, establish and exceed customer expectations during entire life cycle of project

RECOMMENDED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience

  • Must be legally able to work in the United States for Engineering USA
  • Minimum 1-3+ years of experience in engineering and/or manufacturing processes for design and development of products
  • Ability to effectively communicate progress, status and issues to internal and external customers
  • Ability to obtain and meet Business goals and results
  • Ability to work independently, as well as on a team
  • Proficient with Standard MS Office applications, such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 30%

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology or equivalent years of experience (5+)
