The Senior Recruiter is responsible for delivering all facets of recruiting success throughout the organization and assists in promoting a strong employment brand/culture. They ensure a positive hiring manager and candidate experience. They play a critical role in attracting and hiring top talent to meet Lansing’s business needs through sourcing, recruiting, and helping to fill roles across different departments. Finally, they provide valuable support to the Recruiting Manager in pursuing continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the work of the Recruiting team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Act as a partner, advisor, and consultant to Executives, Regional Managers, and Hiring Teams
    • Partner with hiring managers to qualify openings, create requisitions, and maintain job openings
    • Educate stakeholders on recruiting process and set expectations of best practices
    • Proactively source, screen, interview, and select top candidates for interviews with hiring managers
    • Oversee and manage candidate workflows in Applicant Tracking System (ATS) from beginning-to-end
    • Build and maintain relationships with strategic partners including job boards, schools & universities, and professional networking organizations
    • Coordinate, schedule, and confirm interviews with hiring managers and candidates as needed
    • Gather, document, and manage interview feedback from hiring managers in a timely manner
    • Maintain complete and accurate record-keeping in compliance with federal and state requirements
    • Execute on individual assignments, team projects, and work across multifunctional groups on large, complex initiatives
    • Assist with staffing contracts and temp needs for the organization
    • Support Recruiting Manager with long-term initiatives, projects to improve recruiting processes and candidate experience, and prepare and present training materials
    • Support and actively participate in company initiatives, events, career fairs, and trainings
    • Recruit for higher-level roles and other roles as assigned
    • Other duties as assigned by the Recruiting Manager

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS AND PREFERENCES:

    • At least 3+ years’ professional recruiting and sourcing experience required
    • Corporate (in-house) recruiting experience preferred

QUALIFICATIONS AND PREFERRED SKILLS:

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.
    • Strong understanding of how to work effectively with Applicant Tracking Systems
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong emphasis in providing outstanding customer service
    • Strong contracting and networking skills with the ability to build solid relationships
    • Optimistic and enthusiastic contributor to company culture including being a positive influence on hiring managers, candidates, and Lansing associates throughout the business (including the Home Office)
    • Desire and capability to understand how the entire Lansing Human Resources organization operates and how Recruiting can best contribute to its overall performance
    • Ability to collaborate and assist multiple managers at one time with hiring needs
    • Strong research and candidate generation skills
    • Ability to give and receive direct, candid feedback
    • Self-motivated with demonstrated ability to perform in a results-driven environment
    • Willing to travel as needed
