Jim Heath PhD, President, is the Principal Investigator for ISB directed COVID-19 and other clinical trials. This position will report to Dr. Heath and be responsible for the overall success of the Pacific Northwest Consortium portion of the NIH’s national RECOVER project, a cell therapy cancer treatment trial at Swedish and for other clinical trials.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The Senior Program Manager Clinical Trials, in association with the PI, is responsible for:

  • The overall success of clinical trial projects conducted under the leadership of ISB at various medical enrollment sites.
  • Managing consortiums of clinical trial sites involved in the projects, including providing on-going reports and oversight to ensure project success.
  • Oversight of the ISB biobank and specimen processing to ensure quality.
  • Financial management to ensure that clinical trial projects are conducted within funders’ guidelines and budget.
  • Managing the project schedule to ensure that critical milestones are met and that the projects are completed on time.
  • Administrative liaison with external funders and key collaborators.
  • Coordination with ISB administrative groups including Financial Planning and Analysis, Sponsored Projects, Finance and others as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in Project Management – MBA or Project Management certificate desirable
  • Strong commitment to the mission of ISB.
  • Demonstrated leadership capacity and proactively solve problems.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong financial management and project management skills.
  • Experience with clinical trials at a scientific or medical institution.
  • Familiarity with human subjects’ trials and protocols.
  • Ability to work independently to accomplish goals with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with REDcap is desirable but not required.
  • *SKILLS:

Must have excellent judgment, discretion, and a high degree of professional integrity. Required to work effectively with variety of people, remain adaptable to changing work requirements, and be willing to multi-task.

All ISB staff members are expected to have baseline technical skills and the ability to communicate effectively and appropriately over email, zoom, etc. Employees should be able to use Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint (or open source equivalent) at a functional level.

Pay Range:

$97,420 - 171,460 annually
