About Disco
Disco is building a collaborative commerce platform that enables brands to partner effectively, acquire customers efficiently, and scale faster. We help premium DTC companies like The Honest Company, Rhone, Lovevery, Glamnetic, and Made In work together to accelerate growth in a cost-efficient manner, especially in light of regulatory and platform changes (e.g. cookie deprecation, iOS changes). Our ecosystem of independent ecommerce brands utilize Disco to #GrowTogether outside of traditional marketing channels (e.g. Facebook and Google), while also benefiting from unique insights and information content that Disco offers its brands.
We've raised $26 million in funding from established investors (Felicis Ventures, Bessemer Venture Partners, Shopify, Sugar Capital, RiverPark Ventures, and Indicator Ventures), to help merchants reduce their reliance on big tech platforms like Amazon and Facebook for customer acquisition and distribution. Since 2021, we have expanded our network to 1000+ brands, serving product recommendations to 50M+ shoppers & supporting $10B in e-commerce transactions.
What we are looking for
As a Senior Product Manager at Disco you will own and drive product outcomes at the intersection of Disco's shoppers and brands.
Disco's founding product was a post-purchase, cross-sell experience. This product validated the hypothesis that Brands are willing to work together to reach and acquire new shoppers. The Senior PM hired will bring a balance of strategic rigor and thoughtful execution that further builds upon this collaborative commerce hypothesis. - Relationships and technical integrations with a network hundreds (and growing) of premium direct to consumer Brands
- Tens of thousands of daily shopper views on Disco owned real estate that you can leverage to drive value for brands and shoppers
- $18+ billion dollars of transaction data from all brands within the Disco network
- Effective revenue model, but countless opportunities to redefine and accelerate
You will be the most senior Product Manager at Disco and report directly to the Head of Product. You'll routinely communicate and collaborate with leaders across the company and with Disco's Founder/CEO. While hands-on application of the Product Management craft is essential, an ideal candidate is excited to play an active role in building and shaping Disco as a company.
Responsibilities
- Product and company builder. Enter an environment of high ambiguity, with few dependencies in place, and foster a thriving Product function that fundamentally alters the trajectory of Disco
- Align, create, and ensure delivery of the roadmap. Inspire and unlock the full potential from cross functional partners like Design, Analytics, Engineering, Marketing, and Commercial to identify clear problem statements and drive incredible product outcomes
- Through direct engagement, and internal resources, strive to continually refine your understanding of Disco's customers
- Frequently collaborate with Disco's Founder/CEO and other company leaders regarding new product opportunities and concepts
- Mentor other members of the team and company to nurture best practices and establish a curious, collaborative team
Experience
- Exudes infectious curiosity with an exceptional attention to detail
- Repeated experience (5+ years) in Product Management or Founder bringing together domain experts like design, analytics, and engineering that yielded highly impactful results
- Excelled in leading a Product Roadmap of a company level product area. Persistently acquiring the information you need, sharing compelling stories based on facts, and driving to a decision with clear objectives
- Proven written, oral, and visual communication (e.g. Figjam, Miro); ability to effectively communicate upward and across the company
- Strong ability to synthesize information across analytics, user & marketing research, and customer feedback to identify greatest opportunity at the intersection of user problem and business opportunity
- Ability to understand, to the point of active participation, technical topics and clearly distill for a non-technical audience
- Ideal candidates will have domain expertise at the intersection of advertising technology and two-sided marketplaces (Business<->Disco<->Consumer)
