Orbia is looking for a qualified candidate that will collaborate with key stakeholders across IT and Financial Compliance to lead and support the implementation and ongoing oversight of the global IT SOX Program. This candidate will be a strong leader who has experience growing individuals, teams, and programs through clear support, guidance, and mentorship.

This candidate will:
Oversee the design, development, implementation, and ongoing optimization and maintenance of an effective IT control environment that complies with the testing and reporting requirements of SOX 404 including entity level, process level, application level and information technology general controls (GITCs).

Actively support the Orbia Financial Compliance team with SOX project lifecycle management, including periodic risk assessments, identification of SOX significant systems, documentation of various technology processes, and identification of key controls.

Oversee the development and maintenance IT SOX project plan and delivery workstreams and provide periodic program status reporting to leadership.

Provide subject matter expertise on control design assessments, control gap identification, and recommending pragmatic solutions to achieve business objectives.

Provide controls implementation support and validate that implementation and remediation efforts meet desired outcomes.

Serve as the IT SOX Program liaison between IT process owners, IT controls assessors, Financial Compliance, and external auditors.

Proactively identify and monitor IT process and system changes that have a direct impact on the Company’s financial statements and related disclosures to ensure IT SOX impacts are considered.

Oversee the maintenance of IT SOX repository of internal policies, risk assessments, process documentation, including narratives, flowcharts, control inventory, SOX applications/systems/tools, and key reports, as applicable.

Provide periodic SOX status dashboards and executive summaries to IT leadership, Financial Compliance, the Company’s SOX Steering Committee and Board.

Oversee the development and implementation of the IT SOX training curriculum to periodically educate IT management, controls owners and operators on SOX compliance requirements and emerging trends.

Establish and lead the control testing capability for IT SOX

Manage and maintain relationships with internal and external audit.

Main Responsibilities

Experience Required

Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field (i.e., Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Security, Business, Audit) (Master Degree is preferable). Alternatively compensating years of experience (3 to 5 years in addition to what specified below

10+ years of experience with PCAOB audits and controls testing.

Advanced project management and stakeholder management skills

Working experience leading a company through SOX readiness.

Experience working with GRC tools, such as AuditBoard, ServiceNow IRM, OneTrust or similar.

Ideal candidate will be a self-starter and organized and will demonstrate the ability to lead and influence through matrix working relationships.

Candidate must be knowledgeable with different technologies (distributed and cloud) with a keen eye towards harmonized ways of working and maintaining excellence in execution and service levels.

Knowledge Required

Industry Certifications: One of more of the following (or equivalent) required - CPA, ACCA, CIA, CISA

Comprehensive understanding and expertise supporting Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) 404 regulatory compliance, COSO.

Finance concepts and processes.
