What You'll Do

We are looking for a Foundry Customer Engineer (CE), Senior Manager to reside in Austin, Texas. This position will work together with internal sales and marketing teams to support the development and maintenance of foundry business relationships. The person will act as the primary engineering interface with the customer.

Location: Working Remote in Austin an average of 25-30% of domestic and international travel.

  • Technical program management, acts as a first line of response to customer technical and engineering requests.
  • Facilitate/strengthen effective communication between the customer and factory in order to achieve business goals.
  • Develop customer relationship, achieve customer satisfaction by responding to account actions and driving collaboration on effective solutions to meet customer and foundry goals.
  • Partners with engineering and business groups at the customer and factory to ensure new product introduction (NPI) activities are meeting the schedule and technical requirements.
  • Monitors factory performance on key customer indicators and initiates corrective action programs as needed with factory counterparts.
  • Stay abreast of the latest technology developments in the semiconductor industry as they relate to Samsung's foundry offerings.
  • Coordinate with sales and marketing teams to support new customer promotions with technical presentations and pre-sales engineering support.
  • Complete other responsibilities as assigned.

What You Bring

  • Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or related Physical Science with 15+ years of experience or Masters in Electrical Engineering or related Physical Science with 13+ Years of Industry Experience or PhD in Electrical Engineer or related Physical Science with 10+ years of Industry Experience.
  • Experience in semiconductor process, product or device engineering required
  • Previous work experience with major semiconductor foundry or Integrated Device Manufacturer companies preferred
  • Knowledge of advanced process technology, design, test and product engineering a plus
  • Strong customer orientation, good communication and presentation skills
  • International Asia-Pacific experience a plus

Within the base pay range, individual rates depend on a number of factors—including the role’s function and location as well as the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, education and training. This is part of our comprehensive compensation package with annual bonus eligibility and generous benefits to help you live life well

Base Pay Range

$132,800—$270,000 USD
