We are looking for a Senior Manager of Data Analytics to build a team of data science and analytics experts and manage the processes and people responsible for data collection, processing, scientific modeling, and analysis. The team will be responsible for all elements involved with the design, aggregation, contextualization, training, analysis, visualization, and propagation of analytics. This team will lead the analytics of S&C’s growing AI footprint within production operations. The focus will be to support the development of descriptive, diagnostic, predictive and causal analytics required for production operation needed for business.

The Senior Manager-Data Analytics will lead the design, development and implementation of tools, methodologies, and processes to facilitate the collection, consolidation, analysis and reporting of information across S&C. This position will work closely with fellow production leaders and business partners to ascertain the organization's data analysis needs, develop a strategic roadmap for launching data-driven initiatives, and define and implement the necessary framework to support these initiatives. The position will coordinate and/or conduct the training of production leaders on reporting and analysis methodologies, tools, and processes. The Senior Manager will utilize knowledge of S&C’s reporting and analytical tools to empower every part of the business to derive meaningful insights from S&C’s data.

Management Accountabilities

  • Build and effectively manage a high performing Production and People Analytics team: hiring, onboarding, mentoring, developing, and coaching team members.
  • Develop an analytical roadmap to align with company priorities.
  • Communicate progress and priorities to leadership and business partners.
  • Manage the goal and performance review cycle for direct reports, focusing on strengths-based development and role alignment for team members.
  • Liaise and build strong partnerships and collaboration with peers, business stakeholders, and managers in order to understand the requirements for reporting and delivering correct and accurate information.

Data Analytics Accountabilities

  • Partner with other S&C data analytics groups to ensure effective delivery of data analysis to business leaders.
  • Manage the development and delivery of data products that support forecasting, reporting, and scenario modeling of data.
  • Help manage and optimize business processes for data intake, validation, visualization and communication of deliverables.
  • Build, develop and maintain data models, reporting systems, data automation systems, dashboards and performance metrics that support key business decisions.
  • Lead cross-functional projects using advanced data modeling and analysis techniques to discover insights that will guide strategic decisions and uncover optimization opportunities.
  • Manage the design, delivery and monitoring of reporting and analytical initiatives, processes and tools that enable IT to achieve performance excellence in data analytics.
  • Keep up to date with advances in data analytics technologies.
  • Examine, process, and perform quality control checks on the supplied data.
  • Identify critical metrics and produce recommendations on what data to collect.
  • Determine appropriate data rights and access management through collaboration with the Cybersecurity and business teams.

Education and Experience

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in Data Science, Mathematics, Analytics or a related technical discipline from an accredited four-year college or university. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Seven plus (7+) years of data analytics experience working in data planning, analytics or similar function with a mid-sized to large company or recognized data analytics consulting firm.
  • Five plus (5+) years of experience leading a team.
  • Experience managing multiple projects
