Essential Job Functions

• Develops and manages project plans for multiple, complex IT projects including scope, schedule, performance, problem resolution and budget
• Uses strong technical background to contribute to the overall project solution design and strategic direction
• Serves as the principle liaison between IT and functional customers, including communicating and meeting directly with university leadership
• Submits written progress reports; identifies internal and external factors jeopardizing projects and escalates issues and recommended solutions in an effort to manage project risk
• Conducts post project reviews
• Creates, implements and improves project management methodologies, tools, templates, procedures, processes and metrics
• Develops, creates and manages project delivery measurement and scorecards, and communicates to department and university leadership
• Provides coaching and guidance on project management practices to team members
• Performs aggregate IT capacity analysis and project portfolio management
• Prepares and monitors departmental budget
• Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of a bachelor's degree
• Moderate amount of experience working in information technology project management or in other related work

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or greater in computer science, engineering, business or a related field of study
• Project Management Certification (PMP)
