As a Senior iOS Engineer at Katalyst, you'll have the opportunity to help scale a world-changing health & fitness company. We’re looking for someone to design and develop mobile applications from the ground up. This role is focused on someone who is spirited about clean code, solving technical challenges and helping us launch a world-changing health & fitness company.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with our creative design and development team to implement native mobile interfaces.
• Take ownership of the technical direction of the iOS app.
• Take ownership of the stability and performance of the iOS app.
• Research and implement high-quality technical solutions to attain business goals that will benefit our continually growing user base.
• Provide thought leadership on industry best practices around design, testing, security, and deployment.
• Work closely with product teams to define and refine feature specifications.
• Turn big ideas into simple, elegant solutions.
• Applied experience in agile and lean development methodologies, preferably XP

Requirements

• Tech lead responsibility, along with being a top class developer
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of experience or relevant work experience.
• Experience with Core Bluetooth
• Familiarity with GraphQL
• Practice and experience with Test Driven Development
• Mastery of Objective-C and Swift
• Mastery of iOS app building frameworks (UIKit, Foundation, etc)
• Extensive experience writing documentation and technical specifications
• Extensive experience writing unit tests and testable code
• Experience evaluating technical debt and prioritizing against business requirements
• Comfort working with and designing RESTful APIs with other teams
• Substantial experience with Git in a team environment
• Experience setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipeline
• Establish core data management principles and best practices
• Provide technical leadership, and mentoring to team members

Bonus points for

• Passion or knowledge of the health and fitness industry
• Experience with large touchscreen and/or TV interfaces
