We are looking for a Senior Environmental Permitting Consultant to join our Sustainability Team. You will be highly motivated individual with excellent technical and interpersonal skills to work with our talented team in delivering outstanding service to our clients.

About the role

You’ll work across a variety of interesting and challenging projects and provide permitting support for mining and mining exploration with National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) compliance, Clean Water Act (CWA) Section 404 compliance, Endangered Species Act (ESA) compliance, and various other environmental regulatory compliance within the State of Arizona other states in the Southwest.

In your role, you will have the opportunity to take on a wide variety of tasks and support our technical experts with project management, writing Environmental Assessments, and helping mentor junior staff.


About you:

  • B.S. or M.S. in Environmental Planning, Environmental Science, Marine Science, Engineering, or related degree.
  • 7 to 15+ years related consulting experience in a wide variety of areas ranging from leading and managing technical teams and project management.
  • Experience with the resources and regulatory agencies in Southwestern states, such as U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service (USFWS), U.S. Forest Service (USFS), and/or National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), state agencies, and local county and city planning departments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office suite.
  • Willingness to manage projects to ensure a successful delivery on time and on budget.
  • Strong people skills with an ability to work in a team environment.
