Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Director of Finance to work with SAK and its client portfolios. In this role, you will assist in preparing financial statements that follow all regulatory and accounting guidelines under the supervision of the Senior Vice President of Finance. You will be responsible for identifying and preventing discrepancies and helping to set up control system. In addition, you will communicate regularly with clients, including operators, lenders, private equity groups and landlords ,as well as with banks, vendors, and facility management, among others. An effective Senior Director of Finance has good knowledge of accounting and financial principles and good communication skills. You must be an organized professional with a great eye for detail. You must be dependable and able to carry out tasks autonomously and collaboratively. The goal is to contribute to keep the accounting and financial processes of the company up to standard and ensure accurate financial reporting and controls. Th.is position requires healthcare experience. This position is an in-person position, and you will work in our Riverwoods, Illinois corporate office.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily functions within the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Departments
  • Assist in the formulation of internal controls and policies to comply with legislation and established best practices
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with official guidelines and requirements
  • Manage journal entries, invoices etc. and reconcile accounts for the monthly or annual closing
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets or forecasts
  • Participate in preparation for the annual audit
  • Help in development of reports for management
  • Communicate directly with clients, banks, lenders, vendors, etc.
  • Review the company's accounting infom1ation to identify and resolve inaccuracies
  • Utilize accounting IT system to facilitate processes and maintain records

Skills

  • Proven experience as Director of Finance or other similar position
  • Solid knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulations
  • Exceptional knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting etc.)
  • Understanding of data analysis and forecasting
  • Ability to meet business plans and strategic objectives
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Point Click Care knowledge
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office, Excel, and accounting software (e.g., SAP)
  • Well-organized with ability to prioritize
  • Relates well to diverse groups of individuals using diplomacy and tact
  • Team player with excellent communication and people skills
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to multitask

Primary Location
This position will be located in our Corporate Offices in Riverwoods, Illinois, off of Lake Cook Road.
