JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for understanding and diagnosing data flows; designing and creating corporate data assets and reports/visualizations; building systematic processes to update and refresh data assets as new data becomes available; building systematic processes to monitor and curate those data assets; analyzing database and data flow performance and maintaining its peak efficiency. Responsible for ensuring that data integration among and between corporate data assets produces the desired result. This position will be responsible for creating reports and analysis in support of project planning and implementation of process improvements. Responsible for handling the most complex projects and for mentoring junior-level staff. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is comfortable working independently or collaboratively in a team environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for administration, configuration, development, improvement, and maintenance of corporate systems and databases.
• Establish and maintain company-wide data standards by collaborating regularly with IT and other department leaders.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data content and business requirements.
• Analyze data and apply findings to help improve processes and maximize all available opportunities.
• Develop and maintain reporting systems, analytics infrastructure, dashboards, and performance metrics that support key business decisions.
• Manage special projects as assigned by Benecon leadership.
• Evaluate vendors, products, and technologies to automate workflow processes and improve the company’s operational efficiency and analytical capabilities.
• Maintain open, regular communication and collaborate with the Sr. Director of Information Technology on all cross-divisional and/or company-wide projects.
• Mentor junior-level staff regarding advanced techniques and practices.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to sit or stand and type utilizing computer for up to 90% of the workday.
• Must be able to talk on the phone and via online collaboration platforms.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Computer Science or a technology-related field.
• Proven ability to develop and implement high-quality technical solutions.
• Minimum of five years’ development experience with Microsoft SQL Server including SSIS and SSRS required.
• Minimum of five years’ development experience with Microsoft data reporting, analytics, visualization, and integration tools required.
• Base knowledge of Microsoft technology stack required.
• Functional experience with .Net programming environment (VB.net, C#, Visual Studio) required.
• Experience with Python scripting language preferred.
• Experience with ASP.NET (including MVC and .NET Core) using C#, REST/SOAP APIs (developing and consuming) preferred.
• Advanced mathematical knowledge preferred.
• Prior experience working with healthcare or health insurance data preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written format required.
• Strong command of SQL and SQL Server tools required.
• Knowledge of database security and performance monitoring standards required.
• Understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling strongly required.
• Knowledge of database design and theories required.
• Familiarity with database management best practices required.
• Provide technical expertise in business analytics, data integration, data discovery / visualization, corporate insights, and other facets of modern reporting.
• Ability to learn and apply new technology and software required.
• Requires the ability to maintain strict adherence to confidentiality standards.
• Requires the ability to work on multiple projects and to shift priorities.
• Requires developed customer service skills.
• A professional demeanor and ability to excel in a team-oriented environment required.
• Must possess strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Requires advanced problem solving and reasoning skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $110,000.00 per year
