Position Summary

The Senior Data Architect is a key position within the Data Management team, responsible for the design, development, test and implementation of best-in-class Data solutions for the organization. This is an architecture role that will be engaged in all phases of the Data Integrations lifecycle, and will be called upon to mentor less experienced team members as necessary. Successful candidate will have a proven track record of being a Subject Matter Expert for the data domain.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, develop and maintain data solutions using best practices.

  • Provide architectural analysis for data integrations including definition of standards for scalability, security, error handling, and auditing.

  • Assist in estimating and scoping of all data integration related implementations.

  • Analyze the requirements and prepare technical specifications and detail level design documents.

  • Drive the Design, Development and Deployment of data flows.

  • Implement DevOps for all data integrations, participate in all types of testing, including unit testing, point-to-point testing, end-to-end testing and UAT.

  • Support/enhance/create integrations to address business requirements, ensuring all related processes meets best-in-class standards offering high performance.

  • Designing, prototyping and delivering Batch integrations and applications in varied deployment models - cloud based, on premise and hybrid.

  • Build continuous improvement process for complex data systems, tools and reports

  • Required to work on other areas of data integrations including batch processes using SQL Server and SSIS ETL/ELT.

  • Serves as resource to internal, offshore team and third-party team members on escalated issues, analyzing and designing specifications for less experienced team members

  • Pursues self-development and effective relationships with others by sharing resources, information, and knowledge with coworkers and customers. Seeks opportunities to deliver continuous process improvement

Qualifications

  • IT Professional with 7-10 years’ experience and Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or other quantitative field.

  • 3+ years’ experience in an architect role.

  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server BI ecosystem (SSIS, SSAS, and PowerBI).

  • Held an architect role on multiple complex Data Warehousing Projects.

  • Experience in defining, modeling, building and optimizing data architecture for Modern Data Warehousing and Analytics Platforms.

  • Experience with specifying technical solutions involving complex data transformations rules using a combination of narratives, data flow diagrams, process diagrams, pseudo code and technical documentation

  • Should have worked with enterprise architects, data engineers, database administrators, BI engineers and business analysts to determine project requirements and capabilities, and strategized development and implementation timelines

  • Experience in leading the design and implementation of data models to support multiple ongoing company projects.

  • Experience in developing standards and procedures as well as programming architectures for code reuse

  • Experience with design and implementation of OLTP and ODS data models in 3rd normal form; and OLAP star schema models.

  • Experience with Data Modeling tools such as Erwin, ER/Studio, and Visio.

  • Establish methods to maintain the integrity and security of the company data

  • Experience with data integrations using SQL Server and SSIS is a plus.

  • Good understanding of Data Warehousing, Middleware, MDM and Data Governance concepts.

  • Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases.

  • Experience with working on Onsite and Offshore model.

  • Experience working on Banking and Financial domain is a plus.

  • Experience with Data Lake Implementation is a plus.

  • Proven ability to work within a team environment and interacting with data professionals and business data SME’s throughout the organization

  • Must be self-directed and have excellent initiative and organization skills.

  • Proven track record of meeting commitments with the highest standards of ethics and integrity.
