Your Specific Responsibilities:

Processes applications to ensure complete packets are submitted, checking site plans and enters all data into Environmental Health Database.


Coordinates requests for foster home inspections with foster agencies and relays information to inspectors for inspections Performs billing in accordance with established policies, for new facilities, current facilities and re-inspections.


Collects fees for permits, re-inspections and other incidentals required by codes. Maintains cash drawer for accuracy and cashes out daily using business office policy.

Arranges inspections for inspectors for new facilities and daily inspections.


Processes animal bite forms into EHD and coordinates quarantines with both animal control and homeowners as needed. Logs out of system when complete and notifies all parties involved.


Issues permits both for new facilities and annual permits for renewal.


Responsible for Answering phones, assisting general public with needs and directing calls as necessary.


Responsible for Complaints, Corrective letters and correspondences with appropriate personnel and business entities.


Responsible for all travel processing and paperwork required.


Organizes and maintains records, filing systems.


Reviews and approves occupational licenses, verifying all information is correct.


Reviews and approves building department "Project Documents" for consistency with our permits.


Scans old permits, logged out permits and file reductions into E-bridge solutions.


Coordinates with legal team on follow ups to environmental problems and delinquent accounts.


Performs incidental typing as required.


Information Custodian responsibilities include maintaining information in accordance with state and federal statutes, rules, regulations and Department of Health Security policy 3 and associated Protocols and Procedures as it relates to information Custodian delegation of authority. This responsibility is to be adhered to 100% of the time.


Employee understands that the holder of this position is an important part of Osceola County Health Dept., Environmental Health Emergency responsibilities.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of general office procedures and practices. Knowledge of correct grammar usage. Knowledge of basic arithmetic. Ability to prepare reports and correspondences. Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work activities. Ability to develop and implement office procedures. Ability to follow instructions. Ability to review data for accuracy and completeness. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.


Qualifications:

Minimum:

Experience working with the general public in a customer service role



Experience with multi-line phones, copiers and fax machine



Experience handling money, giving change and daily deposits



Incumbent may be required to work before, during and/or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency. Emergency duty required of the incumbent includes working in special needs or Red Cross shelters, or performing other emergency duties including, but not limited to, responses to or threats involving any disaster or threat of disaster, man-made or natural.
