**COVID-19 Procedures: On-boarding will require 1-2 visits to Patuxent River, MD. Training will be virtual and telework maximized/permitted to the greatest extent possible, however training/tasking may require on-site work a few hours per week. Future on-site/telework requirements/schedules may change as additional client direction is received.

Essential Functions:

• Lead the administration, testing, and implementation of database management systems (DBMS) in a web or cloud-based hosting environment
• Contribute to several software-related project functions for our NAVAIR customer by supporting Agile and DevSecOps implementation activities; collaborate between self-organizing and cross-functional teams
• Support development teams in overall database design by tuning queries for optimal performance, assigning proper indexes, and create/update triggers and stored procedures to meet customer software requirements
• Identify, investigate, and resolve customer discrepancies related to database issues
• Ensure cyber security rules/regulations are implemented and followed to safeguard all stored data/information
• Monitor the storage for DBMS including optimal sizing, monitoring space, requesting additional storage, and providing growth statistics
• Support daily stand-up meetings
• Other duties as assigned or required

Qualifications and Experience:
Required:

• Experience with Database Management Systems (DBMS) and tools such as Oracle, SQL Server, Hadoop, Splunk, Teradata, Toad, etc.
• Experience applying source control techniques to store and maintain database projects and related schemas
• Strong experience with database languages and techniques such as DDL, DML, DCL, TCL; including creating advanced functions and complex SQL queries/views
• Strong experience with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and configuration management tools such as Microsoft Azure DevSecOps, Gitlab, Jira, Jama, etc.
• Experience with developing/supporting applications within the NAVAIR hosting environments
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in team atmosphere
• Experience working with high functioning teams in a fast-paced environment
• CompTIA Security+ certification

Desired:

• Experience with ETL and data transformation techniques
• Familiar with NAVAIR data systems and sources such as DECKPLATE, CAVTS, AFAST, DLA, NAVSUP, NALCOMIS, NDMS, JDRS, AWIS, AAE, GITR
• Familiar with transforming policy/guidelines and applying business rules against large data sets

Security Clearance:
Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance with SSBI. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.

Education:
MS or MA or MBA technical degree (Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Mathematics, Management or Relevant Technical Discipline) and 10 years related experience OR BS degree and 12 years related experience OR AS or AA degree and 14 years of related experience OR HS and 16 years related experience.
