Frankenmuth Insurance is seeking a Senior Administrative Assistant to join its Marketing team and provide administrative support to its leadership team. This position is fast-paced, highly collaborative and promises to deliver broad learning about the marketing discipline and insurance company operations.

Under moderate supervision and following standard procedures with some independent judgment, provides a wide variety of administrative staff support services by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Provides meeting and travel support, including:
a. Coordinates leadership and department calendars; schedules meetings and appointments.
b. Arranges travel plans and itineraries.
c. Arranges meetings, programs, events, or conferences and monitors event budget.

2. Prepares and distributes documents and manages files, including:
a. Composes and distributes documents, including correspondence, memos, reports, meeting summaries, procedures, agreements, agendas, etc.
b. maintains electronic and manual file systems

3. Provides administrative support to a variety of operating functions, projects, or program, such as:
a. May serve as administrative liaison with others within and outside the company regarding administrative issues related to purchasing, personnel, facilities, and operations.
b. Provides project support by conducting basic research and updating project reports.
c. Coordinates activities relating to department accounting and budget including processing invoices, consolidating budgets, reporting variances, etc.

4. May provide leadership to junior staff by assigning tasks, training and providing guidance. May provide input to management regarding junior staff performance.

5. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills


In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Outlook and Microsoft Office applications.

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Problem-solving skills

Communication skills (written, verbal, interpersonal)

Multi-tasking ability


Required Experience


Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

A minimum requirement for this position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
