Lift Brands (Snap Fitness) headquarters located in the western suburbs is looking for a talented Senior Accountant to join our team. Summary

The Senior Accountant position will be responsible for a wide variety of recurring accounting functions including but not limited to: financial statement preparation, general ledger journal entries, expense reporting, account reconciliations, financial analysis, purchasing and inventory support, and more. This position will be a key contributor on the corporate accounting team and the ongoing success of the business.

Essential Job Duties

• Interpret and analyze operating results and communicate results to management.
• Provide support to internal customers as needs arise, including ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects
• Prepare and process monthly accounting entries based on US GAAP
• Identify, research, understand and document causes of account variances to budget and forecast
• Analyze large volumes of data using worksheet and database skills to manipulate and summarize data into meaningful information for decision making
• Identify, research, and develop accounting for US GAAP for international entities and their subsidiaries
• Support the annual audit with the preparation of audit workpapers and will work closely with external auditors
• Perform and/or review GL account reconciliations and resolve any accounting discrepancies and irregularities in accordance with corporate policy
• Assist in the development and documentation of business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Recommend for process improvement, as needed.

Successful Candidates will have:

• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office products with advanced knowledge of Excel. Experience with Navision or Business Central a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
• International business experience with foreign currency exposure a plus.

Education/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited University
• The Senior Accountant will have 3-5 years progressive experience including a strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
• CPA beneficial but not required.
