Job Description

Under general supervision, the Senior Accountant - Corporate Accounting is responsible for the more complex accounting activities relating to intercompany transactions, consolidation, compensation, benefits, account reconciliations, financial analysis, budget and forecasts, the month-end close process and providing project support.

A day in the life....

• Contribute to month-end close process to ensure timely, accurate financial data that is in compliance with GAAP and accounting policies

• Accurately reconcile accounts, summarize activity, resolve reconciling differences appropriately

• Perform accounting and control procedures related to intercompany balances, compensation, benefits, foreign currency revaluation, translation, and consolidation processes

• Accurately record transactions into the general ledger

• Critically review and accurately record transactions into the general ledger, including understanding system limitations and required GAAP adjustments

• Prepare forecast and budget estimates, and understand the Balance Sheet, P&L and cash flow statement impacts of account activity, including classifications of financial statement line items

• Able to analyze and articulate operational performance

• Assist in year-end external audit support

• Perform ad-hoc accounting projects as directed

• Able to analyze and recommend improvements to major systems, processes, practices or policies

• Able to drive the decision-making process

• Constantly strives to exceed goals, requirements, previous accomplishments and expectations

You own this if you have...

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience

• Knowledge of US GAAP

• Detail-oriented

• Strong problem solving skills

• Effective written and oral communication skills

• Proficient with Microsoft Excel

Desired Skills and Experience

• Public accounting experience

• CPA accreditation

• GAAP research

• Experience with foreign currency and intercompany accounting

• Experience with Oracle General Ledger and Discoverer

• Experience with Essbase Excel Add-in
